My Take-

As a mother of four I am use to the toy section of our local stores. I will not lie.....there are some toys  I actually dread the purchase of due to their annoying nature or sky high pricing but this time I was  pleased. Even though I have some crazy days most of the time my humor stays intact and "Goldie" (the yellow giggle gang toy) cracks me up!! I was more worried about my reaction to the toy then my 6 month old daughters and we both ended up loving it! For me this toy was cute, safe and reasonably priced. For my daughter it is soft, can handle being tossed to the ground (which happens constantly due to the fact that the more you squeeze or shake them the more noise they make), has little leggies and arms that are fun to yank on and it LAUGHS just like another baby would. Granted each one has its own color but its the laugh that the toy carries that makes it unique! I've been working on buying the whole set just so I can hear each one! Besides my 6 month old, my 3 year old twins also play with them! Their crazy baby laughs make them as happy as it does me. They'll carry each one around and pretend like they are real babies- which is fine with me because these sound a lot better than those dolls that scream like real babies instead laugh! So even though my 6 month old enjoys the giggle gang my 3 year olds do to which makes it a good buy just because everyone can enjoy it!  Its colors make it appealing to look at, its soft to the touch and their laughter is contagious, if you haven't yet, you honestly need to get a part of the Giggle Gang for your child's enjoyment....and your own!

About The Company -
Since 1930, Fisher-Price has been in business to create toys that fascinate and stimulate a child's imagination. Fisher-Price was founded in 1930, hardly the best time to launch a new business as the shadows of the Depression still loomed over American business. Still, Herman Fisher, Irving Price and Helen Schelle combined their diverse manufacturing and retailing experience to create a toy company and confidently brought 16 wooden toys to the International Toy Fair in New York City. The whimsical nature and magical surprises of those first Fisher-Price toys quickly caught on and became the hallmarks of Fisher-Price ever since. Fisher-Price believes in the potential of children and in the importance of a supportive environment in which they can grow, learn, and get the best possible start in life. Fisher-Price supports today's families with young children through our breadth of products that includes GeoTrax, Imaginext, Little People, Laugh and Learn, Thomas the Tank, Thomas and Friends, Elmo, Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go, Sesame Street, Smart Cycle, Ni Hao Kai-Lan, Toy Story and other learning toys and pretend play items

Build-A-Bear Workshop - Great Buddies now at Clearance Prices

Build-A-Bear Workshop is great for so many reasons! First of all they have a HUGE selection of over 30 "friends" to choose from starting at JUST $10.00! The "building" process is something you don't find at every shop and here they make it super special for your child....or the inner child in YOU! You can even create a special birth certificate for your new bestfriend so that if he ever gets lost, he has an excellent chance of being found! I'm sadly over an hour away from the closest shop here in NY but I have had the pleasure of experiencing Build-A-Bear's quality when I received 18in Erik from the Movie Happy Feet 2! Its not the same thing as going into the store and allowing your child to make the stuffed animal themselves but its the next best thing to order online if you find yourself in my position!

My three girls attacked him! He is the perfect size for them to snuggle up with and he's sooo soft sometimes when they are napping I find myself holding him! His bow tie lights up and there are so many adorable outfits to dress him in - we put our Erik in a red hat, sweater and scarf set to add to his wintery feel! I couldn't believe that after all the brutality my toddlers put him through he is still as good as new...most stuffed animals have short lives in our house!

I was so surprised at the selection Build-A-Bear carries......I was always under the assumption they only had bears, I was very wrong! I also thought they would be extremely expensive...yet again I was wrong! Right now they have Erik from Happy Feet 2, Smurf characters and Alvin and the Chipmunks characters in their "Sale Den" at great prices! They are normally about $23.00 and you can grab them now at a steal of $15.00!

The other great thing about this company is that they have a "Beary Big Heart" and after looking at all of the community involvement they have I also find that to be very true! To see how you can help their causes click HERE! You can also keep up with them on Twitter and Facebook! For my twins birthdays this spring instead of having a big party we are going to have a family trip to the closest store and let our four girls make their next best friend! Its a long trip but with how much they love Erik I think its about time we let them each have their own that they can make with all the love they desire and it will be well worth our money! I'm thinking I might even come home with my own too since I missed out on the Build-A-Bear treat as a kid!

Have A girl in the family? Add the "Doodle Bear" to your Christmas List!

This month my girls and I have gotten the chance to review Fisher-Price's Doodle Bear. Our Doodle Bear was Rose. I decided to let the twins take the first shot at doodling on Rose while their big sister was at school plus I wanted to see how well they did with their "drawing" skills. I don't think a child can ever have enough practice at fine motor skills with the way schools are now a days! So if your child can have fun while practicing that skill I say its a huge WIN-WIN situation! So here's how the first try went -

The girls really liked being able to have a toy that they COULD color on! Normally sharing comes a little harder in our house than I'd like but they were more than happy to decorate the Doodle Bear with each other and let me show them some things along the way! We all really enjoyed the Doodle Bear and after we showed daddy our hard work we followed the directions on the back of Rose's box and washed and dried her and she came out looking brand new, ready to take on tomarrow's design!
The Doodle Bears retail price is about $22.00 and they are recommended for ages 3+. They come with a stencil with 3 shapes to help you decorate your Doodle Bear along with 2 markers that also have stamper ends on them for your child to use! (extra markers/stampers are also available for purchase) I would recommend his product to anyone wondering what to get that special little girl in their life for Christmas! I don't think you could go wrong with this choice- its cute, fun and easy and won't break the bank plus you get to "doodle" on it time and time again! To get yours or to learn more about Doodle Bear click HERE and you can also follow Fisher-Price for the latest news and deals on facebook and twitter!
**I received the above product free of charge for my review. My review reflects my honest opinion about my experience with this product.**

Plush toy Nala and Simba from "The Lion King"

While at my local Walmart the other day my twins were so good that I just had to reward them! To my surprise while seaching the toy aisle for a not to expensive but decent toy for them I found one of my old favorite toys! The kissing Nala and Simba!!
I had my own flashback while picking it up to show them and see what they thought! They were my "best friends" for many years when I was young and was thrilled to see that they had them out again! I now know that this could be because they are releasing "The Lion King" in 3D by what commercials on T.V. have told me.  Which I am also very excited about as a parent and as a kid at heart!
The set cost about $20.00 but to me it was worth it for my girls to have the toy that I grew up loving so much! Its so much fun to see the twins play together with them to get the lions to "kiss"! I also saw that they have many many other lion king toys on the shelves now that I am very tempted to buy and maybe save for Christmas if I can keep from giving them to the girls ahead of time. Disney brand toys always seem to be a little more expensive but for some reason Disney is never "out" of style so they can charge what they do. I hate to give into this fact but come on its one of my all time favorite movies, and if I go watch it in 3D between me having a soft side and my crazy pregnancy hormones I will probably ball my eyes out in those heartbreaking parts! Either way I look forwad to the movie and more toys being on the shelves.  So far I haven't really found anything negative about the 2 plush kissing lions, my girls love them and play with them daily! I just hope the quality is the same as it was when I was young because I kept mine with me for years so I hope my girl's set does the same for them!
