Peter Pauper Press Cupcake Kit in Action!

        With Halloween right around the corner I decided to put my "Halloween Cupcake Kit" from Peter Pauper Press into action! First of all the kit comes with *24 cupcake liners, *24 cupcake toppers *6 different pastry tips, *coupler, *pastry bag *and a 32 page booklet that contains simple decorating instructions for all designs shown and cake and frosting recipes!
    The kids were helpful at first but they eventually began to care less about making the cupcakes and more about eating whatever they could get their hands on so my little sister stepped in on the fun!  Our cupcakes after baking (shown below)........we used a recipe from the book but we added some fresh apple cider in them which gives them a darker color but an awesome flavor!

  We chose a simple spider web design because we are terrible at having enough patience to decorate elaborately with toddlers running around begging to eat the frosting! They just wanted their cupcakes!
We thought they looked pretty awesome!

My kids, sister and I are not "bakers" on any level but we were very proud of what this kit helped us do! I think these kits would be awesome for a family bake night like we did or to use for your children's class during a holiday celebration! Another idea would be to use it for your holiday celebrations at your own house! I gurantee guests will think you worked harder than you really did on them! The mini book that comes with the kit is a great help for those of you that are not the most creative bakers (like me!)!
